Quarantine Leave


 (i) It is granted for a period not exceeding 21 days or in exceptional circumstances, 30 days


 (ii) It is a leave of absence from duty in consequence of the presence of infectious disease like Cholera, Small pox, Plague, Diphtheria, Typhus fever and Cerebrospinal meningitis in the family or household of a Govt. servant.


(iii) It may be granted by the sanctioning authority on the certificate of a Medical or Public Health Officer.


(iv) It can be combined with other kinds of leave.


(v) An employee on quarantine leave is not treated as absent from duty and his pay is not intermitted.
